The municipality of Johannesberg with its districts of Steinbach, Sternberg, Oberafferbach, Breunsberg and Rückersbach, with over 4,000 inhabitants, is located on the dominant mountain range of the Vorspessart, which forms a unit with the Hahnenkamm. The densely wooded surroundings and the altitude of 373 metres guarantee fresh, oxygen-rich and low-dust air in the wonderful countryside.
Johannesberg is uniquely quiet and yet centrally located in the district of Aschaffenburg. Coming from the trade fair and banking metropolis Frankfurt am Main, you can reach our house in approx. 35 minutes and from Aschaffenburg in approx. 10-15 minutes. Würzburg is an hour's drive from us.
The electoral town of Aschaffenburg, called the "Bavarian Nice" by King Ludwig I, is located at the exit of the Main quadrangle and is rich in cultural offerings.
Johannisburg Castle, with its museum, a carillon and a wine tavern, is one of the most important Renaissance castles in the West.
Also worth seeing are the collegiate church, the Pompejanum, a gift from King Ludwig I, as well as Schöntal and Schönbusch Park, one of the most wonderful English landscape gardens.
The fairytale and moated castle of Mespelbrunn is also worth a visit.
